Published on October 24, 2020 by Zoltan Nyaradi

On our way to the medieval city of Sighisoara, we have decided to visit the Transylvanian city of Sibiu since the historical center is not that far from the A1 highway . The photos below were taken a couple of days after Christmas. Almost all the important landmarks can be found within the historic center.

After we arrived to the Transylvanian city of Sibiu, our first objective was to find the famous the Bridge of Lies. Fortunately it was only a couple of streets away from where we parked our car. After almost 15 minutes of walking and admiring the historical center of Sibiu we finally found the amazing the Bridge of Lies. From there actually you can see a part of the Council tower and some of the old buildings from the Lesser square.

Our next objective was to find the Lutheran Cathedral which is located in the historic center of the Transylvanian city of Sibiu. This Gothic-style church was built in the 14th century and today is a landmark of the city. Actually this objective is pretty close to the Bridge of Lies.

After exploring the Grand Square and the Lower Town, we decided to walk towards our final objective in Sibiu which was the Sibiu steam locomotive museum.
